Our So-Called Summer

Up until recently, the weather hasn't seemed too summer-y, but we've been trying to get out and enjoy the days when we can.  Here are some of the activities we have been up to.

The boys experienced having their first garage sale, which to them was the equivalent of going to Disney World.  Almost 4 whole days of Grandpa's undivided attention while Mommy and Grandma manned the sale.  Zander got to talk to strangers and count money, what could be better??

Our family had a photo shoot with my friend Sarah Hudson.  She is an amazing photographer.

Zander had Soccer and T-ball Camp.  He was extremely excited.  He received a certificate at the end and now thinks he knows everything there is to know about soccer and T-Ball .

We spent a day 'camping' at Interstate State Park for the Annual Radel Family Camping trip.  The kids played games and bubbles, ate smores, and Zander went fishing for the very first time.  Zander learned that fishing is a sport of a little doing and a lot of waiting.  He is usually better at a lot of doing and just a little waiting.  But after being side-tracked by rock throwing and a trip to the bathroom he caught his very first fish!  (Look very closely).

Of course, it's not truly summer in Stillwater until you've had Nelson's ice cream.

And the most exciting news of the summer is that Zander passed the Early Entrance to Kindergarten Evaluation and will be starting kindergarten in the fall!  He is so excited!

All Points Bulletin

All units be advised.  Be on the lookout for this adorable 18 month old boy.

Caleb is wanted for repeated theft of his big brother's pajamas.

You may find him climbing on tables, toys or any non-steady object.

He may be watching Yo Gabba Gabba! or Dora the Explorer.  Caleb can be identified by his continuous use of the words "Mama" and "mine."  He may also be heard saying "cookie" and "Momo" (Elmo).

Caleb may be working in the restaurant industry or in Janitorial Services.

If you should see this subject do not attempt to apprehend him.  He is armed (with snot and drool) and dangerous.  Call the local authorities, Zander, who will tackle him immediately.

First Movie

I know every mom thinks her kid is the cutest, smartest, sweetest kid, but I really do have the funniest.  Zander just has a way of saying the funniest things with no intent of being funny.

Yesterday Wish took Zander to see his very first movie in a movie theater.  As the lights went down and everybody quieted, Zander said in a loud, enthusiastic voice, "This is something like we've never, ever seen before!"

First Hair Cut

This past Thursday Caleb got his first haircut.  He needed it.  Bad.  He was starting to look like Richards Simmons.

He sat still, but I wouldn't say he was too excited about a strange lady running her fingers through his curls.

Here is the 'After' shot.  He even got a little product in his hair.  How cute is he?

Zander got a haircut too.  (Ignore the messy house, I do.)  Handsome!

Welcome!

Zander and Caleb are growing up so quickly.  They're already 4 and 14 months!  I am starting this blog so friends and family can see what we've been up to and watch them grow from miles away.  Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
